I would like to build an end fed 1/2 for 20M.
Just like the simple 1/2 wave CB verticals for 10/11M.
I understand that I need a 1:9 or 1:16 BALUN.
I've had a look at EI7BAs site for the BALUN info. He
uses his on 80M.
But what I dont get is how to connect the BALUN to the
vertical element. There is only 1 element and you have
2 wires coming from the BALUN. 1 of the connections
goes to the vertical element, where does the other one
go ?
If it goes to earth :
1, what do you do if you have no earth ?
2, then is it really a 1/2 vertical or a centre fed
full wave ? (Using a ground image).
How is it done on the 1/2 wave CB verticals ?
I'm looking for one that will handle 1KW.
