Hi Jim,
I came across your e-mail on the internet regarding the MA5V
antenna. I noticed that the band width is indeed narrow on 20 meters if
one uses a full power of 100 watts. However if one drops the power to
50-75 watts the band width seems to become much larger. When I put my
old linear amplifier into play the SWR goes flat on the cw and phone
portion of the band. As you know one can use unto 250 watts of power
with this antenna. I find the antenna works well with my old SB 200
linear amplifier which works on tubes. I have able to do a lot of DXing
with this antenna.
