I use an automotive brake degreaser product called "Brakleen", followed by a
wash in rubbing alchohol and a short (15 minute) drying period. If I then
get finger oils on an otherwise clean piece, another wipe with the rubbbing
alchohol suffices. This has worked for me for many years.
