Hey Judd... just think of the aerials as  HARDWARE ... no need to convert,
just use them as raw aluminum, which will fill the bill..... get your design
together, for what you want ---  gain, F/B, length, spacing, polarity, and
perhaps longevity.   THEN PUT IT TOGETHER...   you ain't "converted" an
aerial, you have used it as a "resource" .. n'est-ce-pas????
