All of the vendor web pages that I found agree with this. I just got an
email response directly from Loos and they say that it does measure 1/4"
(just as their web page says). I suspect that there are two versions of the
PT-3- probably an original that was not calibrated for 1/4" and a newer
version that is.
I can order it directly from Loos for $172 plus shipping and probably get a
gauge that measures 1/4" or order it from a marine discount house for about
$123 plus shipping, but roll the dice on it being calibrated for 1/4"...
