AMEN

Essentially Gil is "before my time" but I still got each and every cartoon! I started truly being interested in hamming at Field Day - which sometimes could have been Podunk Hollow! The snarled up antennas, the "fire drill" with everyone running all over the place - timeless!

Gil Rules

Am I the only one who still misses Gil's artwork on the column headings today?

Gil had a way of capturing the essence of amateur radio - dedicated to
the hobby without taking one's self too seriously, and still having
fun while doing it. The cartoonists in QST since Gil have come close
but he remains the Master.
