How large and how durable?
Party supply stores usually carry latex balloons that can inflate to around 3 ft in diameter but they're not all that durable.

Weather/pilot balloons are available in several colors and many sizes.. google for "pilot balloon"

Spraypainted trash can bags work nicely as short duration He filled balloons, but don't have a lot of excess lift, because they're kind of heavy.
