Dan:
At a minimum, be sure you include a drip loop on any coax entering from
above through the PVC cap. A better choice (IMHO) is to install a 90-degree
elbow, facing downward, on the outside, then stuff it with fiberglass
insulation to keep out the rodents, etc. I used a similar installation (except
the opening was covered with a clothes drier vent) to bring my coax inside. I
kept this arrangement for nine years, until I built my tower and installed PVC
conduit to it.
