After having received lots of good ideas the problem still remains.I received a
chart of a known good KLM KT34XA where the elements were removed off the boom
and raised about 10 feet in the air and tested one by one as a dipole.I did the
same test and all the elements reacted abt the same except my rear driven
element.Mine has a 400 khz higher resonance reading on 10 and 20 meters that
the test XA.And my problem coincides with these results,my SWR is 2.0 at 14.000
and 28.000.The original "XA" used 9" 10 meter capacitor tubes on the rear
drivin element but mine was supplied with 8" replacement tubes? Also the
dimensions for the new RD element are quite a bit different than the old.Is it
possible my documentation is wrong?Does anyone care to send me their KT36XA RD
element dimension? Pete,NO2R
