I have had a supply of various sizes of CATV hardline and have recently
acquired coring tools for most of it on ebay. Just do a search on coring
tool and you should see what's available.

Also, one of the guys who sold me a tool for my QR 7/8" cable says he has
most sizes in stock. I just bought a stripping and separate coring tool
from him for about $50. He included his phone number that I will send
via return e-mail if anyone is interested (don't want to post it on the
web via the archives).

These tools sure are nice to have. I once cut my finger up on the tower
trying to prep the end of a piece of cable with a knife. The tool makes
the task much safer.

You should find out exactly what type of cable you have and make sure you
get the right one for that cable. If you don't know, take some good
measurements with calipers and compare them to the datasheets (available
on the web). I found my stuff was QR type - at www.commscope.com.
