What I meant is that my SteppIR is mounted above my beam.
Listening really isn't an issue - it's being able to do something when I hear something after a band change. The only other antenna I have is an HF2 & that at least gives me another antenna for 15.
The SteppIR dipole mounted perpendicular to a tribander makes a great second antenna for contests & is a great solution for the WARC bands. Only problem I have is that my beam at present is only a 10m Moxon rectangle...
