The antenna has achieved a mechanical soundness rating of 1.0 on the Leeson
Scale - that's equivalent to the number of winters the antenna has survived
the W6NL mountaintop and come out intact.  That's a pretty good rating, so I
think the mechanical soundness has been established.  Getting a 1.0 on that
scale is no mean feat.

Actually, I'm sure Dave will have some guidance on fabrication of the
junction...
