I have a question. My QTH is a 16 acre parcel of an old 100 acre farm.
When the holes were dug for the tower base and guy anchors, it was
discovered there is 3 feet of topsoil, then several feet (at least 3) of
iron ore below. Is this iron ore going to affect the take-off angle of my
array? The array is under construction and will be 4 tribanders at
152-119-86-53.

I have a 230 foot diameter wire grid ground screen.
I tried building a 40 meter ground warmer dipole about 15 feet above it. I
didn't see any measurable improvement with signals received vs a 30 ft high
inverted vee on 40 meters over bare dirt.
