Assume Rohn 25, which has a distance from rotation center to leg of about 5 inches. If the torque bar is 24" long, and is bent down at 45 degrees (the guy angle), it will increase the sideways distance that the guy wire moves by 24 x .707 = 17 inches. So, you have more than quadrupled [(17+5)/5 = 4.4] the rotation resistance of the guy system by adding the torque bars.
