Interesting? Lightning strikes wherever the excess electrons can be
transferred. Pretty hard to predict where this will happen without
extensive knowledge and monitoring equipment.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Lightning Strikes (For what its worth)
Now, take it easy on me; I don't even have a tower up yet.

I was in NM last week when we watched over 2 hours of fantastic lightning
flashes, many striking the ground.

We say NONE strike any of the 300 foot commercial towers in the Southern NM
desert. I thought that was VERY interesting.
