Roger,

I have the LMR in hand and will not buy anymore coax this year. I'm saving my
dough for a DX-pedition for the ARRL DX test in March.

I have FINALLY decided to run 213 to the LMR.  One bulkhead connector grounded
to the top of the tower below the loop.  I just went downstairs and checked the
LMR.  You can stand on a short length  of the stuff.  It is indeed stiff!

Thanks for all of the suggestions.  It has been informative.  I'll use the info
in our next club newsletter.  I am the president of the Mich- A -Con ARC here
in Iron Mountain, MI.  I'm always looking for info in my Words from the
President column.
