I use the MARC program...
It has calculations for 2" mast and 3" mast...
How should one calculate intermediate mast sizes... For example, 2 3/8"
which is pretty common? (and what I use)
What you DO need to do is to figure out WHAT KIND OF MAST IS REQUIRED
on your parameters - your local windspeed conditions (found at
_www.championradio.com_ (http://www.championradio.com) under Tech Notes
for all US
counties) and proposed antenna load. My Mast, Antenna, and Rotator
Program will do that for you for ten bucks.
It's been my experience that most people that buy chromoly masts DON'T
REALLY NEED THEM. And they ain't cheap!
Cheers & tnx for all your TT contributions!
