Two feedlines to the SteppIR is not a bad idea, but
would take some engineering.  Have one fiberglass
tubes for 40 through 10 on the driven element and two
reels for belerium copper strips in two different
reels.  When you go to 40 meters....the usual beam
strips would go all the way in...and then the 40 to 10
dipole goes out from a different set of reels out the
same fibreglass tube using a different feedline.

Fun to think about.
