Hoy All,
Thanks for all the diagnostics.....
Jim, I liked your technical one super FB.
Mike a bit of diplomatical sauce on the dish. Afraid it?s too late for
me, next year XYL deals already for 50 years with antennas and OM.
Wished I could love her for an other 50 years.

Have fun fellows.

Keep it simple...

check the Yellow pages for a LOCAL aluminum distributor, ("Aluminum",
"metals", etc.)
or
the local metal scrap yards (not auto junkyards)... they usually have
all sorts of aluminum stuff lying around, and you buy it by the pound.
ALTHOUGH some junkyards that buy old buses might have a lot of tubing.
(once used for luggage racks)... I scrounged over 1600 feet of 3/4
tubing once! or check with LOCAL hams and find out where they
scrounged/bought their aluminum
other sources:
farm supply stores, commercial awning companies (they roll the awnings
on 3-4" 30 foot tubings. Electrical supply houses (Not HD or Lowes)...
usually aluminum PIPE, though. Local sheet metal works... they usually
have a local contact for other metals. Your local two way radio shops
(if they still do radio hi hi hi)... long shot, but worth considering.

and on the XYL note...

my long time bride once looked at my three SSV's and said, "Don't you
like anything that looks beautiful?"

"only you dear, only you" towers have been up for around 25 years...

73!
