Hello All,
I've been following the thread about improving the dipole with interest. I
frequently recommend common 300 ohm TV twinlead as a feedline, transitioning
to shielded parallel line before entering the shack. This requires a pair of
coaxes, any impedance, and saves the cost of a remote balun (see ARRL
antenna book).

Is there a simple way to test if a parallel feedline is unbalanced by
measuring leakage/radiation? Would a simple field strength meter make a good
probe for this?
