My Tri_ex manual instructs to tape or cable-tie the coax loops to each of
the standoffs. When the tower is lowered, they form their own loops (3 of
them). I would think that only securing the cables at the top & bottom of
the tower would lead to stretching and or internal damage from the weight &
flapping in the wind. To your original question I'm using RG213 or RG214,
forget which, plus an 8-conductor rotor cable.

I am going to be replacing my coax and wonder if anyone is using LMR-400
or -600 on their crank ups. I am also thinking of hard line to the top
of the first section and then RG-214, very flexible, for the collapsible
sections. I currently let the cables slide through the stand-offs so I
really only have one loop to deal with.

Any ideas and/or comments?
