The RF will never know you stiffened up the inner sections of
the elements... it flows close to the surface, after all.

I'm amazed at your comment, though.   I had 2" of radial ice
and 70kt winds in VT, a few times, and my T8 rode through fine.
(Until the hurricane that took down the oak that ate the tower)
