Hi TT,

Well, my .02 worth. I have an 80 foot tower with Philly. I have noticed
some (but not much) stretch. However, I have a brochure from the company
that indicates there will definitely be some "relaxing" happening! They
say:

"Tension HPTG-I assemblies to approximately 15% of it RBS. Guy tension will
automatically relax to approximately 10% RBS..."

So, the company claims Philly will 'relax' about 5 but I don't think mine
did that much - but it did a bit and I tightened it up a couple times after
construction but have not needed to do so after that.

I agree with Bill .. I have never had any qualms about monkeying about on a
Philly installation .. I did not care too much about the mid-8Øs
self-potting process, but on the other hand I never heard of anybody with
failures. As to stretch ... never have seen any that was noticeable.
Though I never used them myself, I have seen an installation with fiberglass

insulating rods on the tower, I often wondered how that worked out long
term. Myself, I would stick with the EHS.
