Excellent dissertation, my compliments... Just one picky point (very,
very picky but I can't help myself)...
The flash we see from a lightning bolt is not a direct result of the
RF created by the lightning bolt... The visible flash is secondary
radiation from ionized, excited, and heated ions/atoms in the air...
Electrons do not glow... Electron flow in a pure vacuum is invisible...
I know that Eric knows this, but I wanted to mention it for
completeness...
