Rohn 25 towers? AES has an advertisement for such a product. It is
manufactured (or marketed) by Synthetic Textiles, Inc. and comes in three
sizes: 3/32
in, 260+ lbs; 3/16 in, 770+ lbs and 5/16 in, 1790+ lbs.

Yes, it is NOT a suitable tower guy material. 25G calls for 3/16" EHS (extra
high strength) guy wire that is rated at 4000 pounds breaking strength -
quite a ways from the above specs.

Speaking of specs, the LXC Prime Directive is to "DO what the
manufacturer says" and EHS is what they call for.

that is quyed at the top and middle. I like the idea on non-conductive guys
but I am concerned about stretch, weathering and longevity.

If you're just talking about rope in general, you don't need clamps you
can use regular knots. If you're talking about EHS guy cable, use Preformed
Big Grips. They're easy to install - unlike clamps - and you can get them from
Texas Towers.
