Last year I heard from a professional tower rigger over in Indana who said
that when he has a new member of his crew, he takes him over to the one
aluminum tower they have a contract to work on. It's used by some sort of
municipal service to hold two way radio antennas. He has the new employee
climb to the top. He said that after being up on that aluminum tower with
it swaying all over the place the new guy will feel comfortable on any steel
tower.
