The Kellum grips commonly stocked by electrical suppliers are fabricated from
plated steel wire. In my experience, they fail in five years or less. If not
caught in time, their failure could result in damage to the cable being
supported by the grip.
Far more appropriate are grips intended for T O W E R S (do we still discuss
towers on this reflector?). Grips intended for towers are manufactured by
Andrew and other companies that serve the tower industry, and are almost always
available at affordable prices on e-bay.
