I am going to be putting up a 4 el MonstIR at 90 feet but it is going to be
on a pretty high hill overlooking the Pacific in KH6. It will be stacked
with two four el SteppIRs at 30 and 60.
I have had lots of experience with antennas at various heights since I ran a
two bay stack at 200/90, a four bay stack for 20 at 200/150/100/150, a four
bay stack for 15 at 140/105/70/35 and a six bay for 10 starting at 165....all
switchable to top, bottom, in phase and out of phase.
>From my experience, the antenna will definitely be too high for most work on
10 and 15, too high for EU on 20 and too high for EU on 40. It should
scream to JA /VK on 20 and 40. Some of the MM stations up in the northeast
can
probably add to my comments.
Let me know if other send you files. I would be most interested in the
results.
By the way, if I had to choose a height for your MonstIR, it would be 100
feet, especially with you being so close to EU.
