Seems like the same as the fusion tape I use, which is the same as used on
SteppIR tube joints.

I've seen references to both butyl tape and silicone tape for sealing coax
connectors.  Both appear to be more or less permanently self-fusing.  Is one
material better than the other?

I stumbled across this stuff .... http://www.rescuetape.com/index.html
.... they sound kind of like the marketing shills you see on late night TV
but maybe it would work.  Anyone ever try it?
