Maybe for you that is an option.  But, you can be assured that is not  the 
case in Florida.  Thanks to the insurance mess in Florida (one of the  reasons 
left) insurance companies don't hesitate to drop you for a  claim.  They can 
and do just that, making it impossible to get ANY  homeonwners insurance.  
Instead, one gets thrown into the state run pool  which by law is forced the 
highest premium any insurer can legally charge.
For instance, my insurance for the 2007 year was going to be raised from  
$3000 to over $5000 for a 1900 square foot house.  My point:  In  Florida, it 
be cheaper to install Polyphasers and other damage  preventatives than to get
