The Murch tuners were the product of Charlie Murch of Franklin, ME. There
is a nice review of the UT-2000-B by Doug DeMaw, W1FB, on pp. 50-51 of the
April, 1980 QST. According to DeMaw, Murch made almost everything in his
factory.
I had one of these, and it would tune almost anything. Despite the now
common "pure" T configuration, I think that the split capacitors worked
well. I sure am sorry that I sold it. (Sigh.)
