Was it here that read that the "common knowledge"
that DC grounding of a vertical antenna = better
lightning protection is not always accurate?

Just read this in some antenna advertising text:

"DC Ground construction allows static dissipation for
low noise ratio and maximum lightning protection."

I have a Comet GP-15 6-2-440 vertical that is DC-grounded.
After I repair the fallen-tree damage I wonder, is as
relatively "safe" re. lightning as I have always thought?
