TowerTalkers,

I don't have an answer for Wendell's inquiry. But...

While cleaning out my shed for a garage sale, I found a 1971 Tri-EX tower
brochure. I have seen requests on TowerTalk for information on older Tri-EX
towers so I decided to scan the product catalog and post it to my website.

There are 6 separate pages (about 1-Mb each) posted here:
http://tinyurl.com/3cb7a3

Page 1: Product description for T-237, T-354, T-471, and T-588 (20 foot
sectioned) towers and T-218, T-327, T-436, T-545, T-652, and T-761.

Page 2: Guying locations and guy wire & parts required for each model.

Page 3: Text description of Guy As You Erect (GAYE) tower deployment.

Page 4: Two photos of Tri-EX towers in stages of deployment.

Page 5: Cross-section dimensions of nested tower sections.

Page 6: Guying chart.

I did learn something new when looking at the model numbers. The first number
indicates the number of tower sections while the last two numbers show the
final extended height. Simple as that is, the model number scheme wasn't
obvious to me until I saw all the tower models listed together in this catalog
[slaps his forehead].

Feel free to download these pages. I will host other catalogs of tower
information for non-current models where documentation may be difficult or
impossible to find. If there is an existing site for this type of information,
please let me know. I don't need to be duplicating an effort, but would like to
contribute to a common repository.

Hi folks,

I have found a tower in decent condition, but I can't find any specs for the
building inspectors. It has the old gray galvanizing vs, the bright zinc we
see today. It uses a hinged base plate for anchor bolts. Hopefully someone
out there has the info.
