I have a GAP Challenger that I am rebuilding. It appears to have all of
the parts and pieces and I have the manual. I have two questions before
I proceed with the coax wiring.

1. The top section where the cap attaches to the coax. The cap had
separated from the coax and the connectors were damaged. I assume the
coax terminates into the cap. However, the pigtail coming off of the
coax/cap, does that come from the shield of the coax or the center
conductor?

2. The mid-section, where the coax exits and jumpers to the tuning
bars. It appears that the shield is connected in two places, one exiting
above and connecting to the lower tuning bars and one exiting below and
connecting to the upper tuning bars.

Am I correct here??

thank you
