There were a couple of construction articles that appeared in QST, the
first was in the March 1963 issue. The title was "The Paul Bunyan Whip"
The article describes how to build an approximately 58 foot tilt over
mast that is strong enough to support a TH-6. If you know someone who
has the QST library on CD ROM you can check out the article. The second
article appeared a few years later. You should be able to find them
using the search feature that comes with the QST reader software.

I hope you find this useful.

I've been doing quite a bit of antenna work lately and am thinking about

building a crank-up (50 to 60 foot which means at least 3 sections) and
fold
over pole. Does any one have drawings of such or know where I can find
them?
This will probably be fairly heavy duty meaning it'll also be *heavy*.
Possibly even rotatable.

TIA & 73

Roger (K8RI)
