Refer to "Quad Loops" or "Full Wave Loops" and you may find the delta
configuration described and/or illustrated.

Novice Alert: Could someone please identify which section of my
ARRL Antenna book covers this "Delta Loop" - as that term does
not appear in the Index. I do not mind doing the homework on stuff,
but would like to be sure I am reading what you are talking about.

I have the 21st Edition, but I doubt if the sections have changed too
very much over the past few years.

I am thinking you are talking about what the book calls a "skywire"...
Right? That would mean an 80 meter loop of this type would need
approx 272 feet of wire - or 68 feet per side, or in my case, to sides of
fifty feet, and two sides of 86 feet which, if I had the right supports,
would just about fit.

The book says it need not be tuned or pruned to a specific length as
that will not matter much. If true, that is good, as that allows for some
variation in length depending on how one's lot (trees, house, and other
supports) are available.

Is this the topic I should be reading?

Thanks. /// K8JHR ///
