Just one week away. Rain or Shine. My (almost) annual open house, picnic,
contest-u, YCCC meeting, is next Saturday 7/26 from noonish to whenever.
For those who don't want to drive long distances before and/or after I have
spare beds and room for camping. We will have a YCCC meeting for anyone who
wants to join. The station will be set up for the IOTA contest so you can
get a chance to operate and see how things work. There will be tours of the
towers and antennas, the stacked chainsaws, other tools, and of course the
BIG. You can ask questions about how to do things like put up towers and
see the actual tools and get demos. There are door prizes which we will
draw for during the YCCC meeting.
Directions are on my web site http://www.k1ttt.net/
Please RSVP so we can get an idea of how many are coming and what you might
bring along so we don't get 50 pots of beans.
If you can't come you can still watch at least some of the festivities on
the webcams... one of the webcams may move up to the deck for the day.
Have non-hams in the family? There is a pond for fishing or swimming, lots
of space to hike, go visit the beaver dams, or send them to the mall,
Rockwell Museum, or any of the other Berkshire attractions for the day.
This is a good chance to point out to a reluctant spouse how bad it could
get, so your plans don't sound so bad.
