That is correct and is exactly why a double bazooka is shorter than a normal 
dipole. I have looked at the pics and dont see why the
antenna would not work. Whether it works as advertised, who knows until you do 
one.

Personally, I think it would be fun to try it and see what happens with 
measured data :0)
