I use pvc insulated 14 AWG for all my antenna installation when I "do" wire
antennas. I used it for dipoles and for ladder feeds and have had no
problems. It is a little heavier and has larger area than 16 AWG so you have
to
consider if that is OK with your supports. (I am using it because somebody
gave
me a 500' roll that was left over after an electric installation) You can get
wire in any electric or hardware store, even Lowes and Home Depot.

I'm going to build a 3el 5-band quad, 20-10M, and I'm looking for
suggestions re: what wire to use, and where to get it.

copper-clad steel. Designed as a replacement for restringing quads, but
popular as an easy-to-use dipole wire."
That seems to be the only wire on that page with the word "quad" in the
description. Is this the right stuff, or is there something better?
And/or somewhere better to get it? Won't be used beyond 1500W PEP.
