Don't worry about those gaps in the box. Even at 10 meters, the size of the
seam openings is small compared to the wavelength of 10 meters so they won't
act like slot antennas. If you were running in the UHF region or above, then
you could have slot antennas, & the seams need to be very tight or sealed
with copper tape.
