Howdy --

I've had several occasions in the last several months to fix an
intermittent problem on Force 12 linear loaded antennas. It turns out that all
of
them had rusted U-bolts that had deteriorated and caused intermittent
electrical
contact. The U-bolts are the real little ones that connect the linear loaded
wires and the shorting wire.

You would be well advised to include checking them during your annual
inspection and probably replacing them. Ultimately they will all fail.

Cheers,
