Hi Guys,

I've got an Cushcraft XM-240 (shorty-forty) attached to a fold-over tower
with the tower folded over. The XM-240's reflector is only 18" off the ground
and the driven element is pointing straight up in the air and about 23' above
ground level.

Question: I realize the resonant freq. at this low height will be WAY off and
I don't plan to tune it at this height- but I'd like to check it and see if
it is resonant at any freq. with a MFJ-259 before I raise the tower. (perhaps
it would tell me if I have a serious problem or not) The question is: would
you expect the resonant freq. at this low height to be higher or lower than
that when the antenna gets 90' in the air?

Thanks & 73,
Dick- K9OM
