Developers have a 100 foot high Pirod self supporting commercial tower for
sale. Look at the attached pictures. They would be happy for a few hundred
dollars. I explained that few people would be willing to take it down in
the middle of the winter. They would be satisfied to defer the removal
until Spring if they can agree on a sale soon. The legs are solid steel,
not hollow! It is in very good condition. He said it is comparable to Rohn
tower, but these specifications sound superior. You probably need a crane
to dismantle it. He guessed that the legs are each 40 and 30 feet long.
You could erect several shorter towers, each 30 or 40 feet high, instead of
one 100 foot tower. It has withstood many wind and ice storms. You may
also have the antenna and mast on top. They switched from two way radio to
cell phones. It is located at 400 South Greenwood Avenue, Palmer Township,
Easton, PA. That is about one mile West of the 25th Street exit from US 22.
Take Northampton Street West from 25th Street. Go South on Greenwood
Avenue. The tower is on the right (West side).

They like serious towers to be competitive. Also forward it to the Yankee
Clipper Contest Club in New England, since many of those hams lost their
towers in the recent ice storm. If you can forward it to E-ham website and
