I bought a stick of 1 1/2" solid fiberglass rod from Max-Gain Systems, Inc
www.mgs4u.com . I cut 3 pcs 9" long then cut down the diameter of 3" on
each end leaving 3" in the middle at 1 1/2" diameter. I drilled the holes
in both ends of the fiberglass rod to match the holes in the 25G. I put a
short piece of old tower in the ground up side down with the fiber glass
insulators installed then began stacking 130' of tower for a 160 vertical.

I used a small wood lathe to cut down the ends of the fiberglass but you
can't use a cutting tool. A good wood file or a course sanding belt will do
the trick. By all means, wear a breathing mask if you do this.
