Check the connector at the rotator- moisture can get in and cause the
strange behavior you are reporting. I had something similar with my G-1000 a
few years ago; when I took the connector apart, it was dry, but you could
see where water had gotten into it and dried out- leaving behind some
apparently conductive residue. I cleaned it up and resealed the connector; I
haven't had any problems since.
