Anyone familiar with Rohn SSV towers? I may have a chance to buy a 100 foot
tower for $1000 at auction. Is it a good deal? Are they easily usable or
modifiable for ham use? Will it support a 2 or 3 element 40 meter beam?

As others have mentioned, what is it? The attached PDF, that may not go to the reflector, shows what's possible. You can "erector set" any combination of 20' sections from multiple 10' microwave dishes to a 2 meter whip.

A "16N" section is 22 feet across the base, a "1W" is 1 foot.

Did a project manage on a 16N, 300 footer with 40 yards of concrete.
It was a big hole...

Do Google, the 39meg Rohn catalog is out there.

If anyone wants the one page, ask.
