Same experience here. My Beverages are rather widely separated (about 200 ft) 
from my TX antennas and have robust chokes at both ends of their coax to 
decouple them from their feedlines. I ran that way for a year or two, then 
replaced the MPs with K3s. They also work fine, even though in one position 
of one reversible Beverage, the K3 goes into "auto protect" mode on 160M.
