Suppose I'm at Field Day, operating CW on 40m.Right next to me, a station is
operating on 20m.I could use a stub to attenuate him. I could use a lumped
element filterin my transmission line pre-tuned to null (attenuate) him.But
here's another idea, and I'd like some feedback.Say a had an extra antenna
tuner and a dummy load.Could I tee the extra tuner into my coax, and tune it to
the offending frequency(in this case 20m), and dump it into the dummy load?
Would this not actlike a versatile "tunable" trap, with fairly high
attenuation?Any guesses on possible attenuation? Thanks in advance for all your
thoughts.73-Chris-AI4MI
