The following equipment is used to interface the FT1000 to the Steppir
Controller in the General Mode for automatic band changes and tracking:
1) Original microHam Microband Decoder Unit with external drive relays to
operate remote antenna switch including software CD
2) microHam PASTEPR interface cable to the Steppir Controller
3) microHam FT4 Yaesu Serial-DIN 6 Cable
4) Homebrew Steppir-ICOM cable S01
This configuration requires that the FT1000 have the ROM v6.0. The Steppir
Controller is setup to look for an ICOM radio. The Decoder Unit talks to
the FT1000 and changes the interface to ICOM. An ICOM to Steppir cable
conpletes the connection. Diagrams provided to show details of the setup.
This interface has worked perfectly for over 2 years but I no longer own the
FT1000. Like new condition, original owner, non-smoking environment. New
cost $450. Asking $375 shipped/insured domestically. Money order preferred.
Would consider splitting the package for the right offer.
