Guy,

I built my own house in 1997. When we installed the foundation plumbing, I
installed three 2 in. pvc pipes through the foundation. I brought the
pigtails out about 18in from the slab edge and about 1 ft underground. The
inside risers come up into the wall directly behind my radio operating desk.
I used 2in schedule 40 PVC water pipe and electrical conduit, wide sweep 90
degree turns. The pipes go to the base of my tower which is about 90 ft from
the house. I installed a ground rod that also is in through the slab and
comes up near the pipes in the wall. I put end caps on both ends of the
pipes to keep out concrete and dirt during the foundation work.

If you are going to run any hard-line, I would suggest a minimum of 3 in
pipe. I have several coax and control lines in mine. The 2 in. pipes present
a little more effort to pull. Cable lubricant helps a bunch.

I have remote antenna switches at the base of the tower, so I did not need
two many runs inside the house.
